In the movie Maria (2019), a former assassin for the dangerous BlackRose cartel finds herself in a life-or-death predicament when she refuses to complete a mission and betrays the cartel. Due to her actions, the cartel orders her execution. However, unbeknownst to them, she cleverly fakes her own death and manages to escape their clutches.
