A sheriff (Thornton) begins an investigation into the death of a local trans individual after hearing that high ranking politicians may have been involved. Although he is homophobic, his investigation causes him to be rejected by others, forcing him to seek help from the people he once despised.

The intrigued Jacob calls Anker, but his cellular is out of service. Jacob decides to investigate the destination of Anker and finds him in the small town of Mørke in the Midden-Jutland. When he meets his former son-in-law, he finds that he is going to marry the handicapped Hanne on the next Saturday. Jacob tells Hanne's sister Sonja his fears about Anker, but neither she nor the local deputy Carl believe on his words. Jacob decides to stay for the wedding while investigating the circumstances the women died after marrying Anker.

Set during World War 2. After Nazi Germany invaded Poland in September 1939, Russia attacked Finland in November 1939. Finnish reservists leave their homes and go to war. The film focuses on two farmers from the municipality of Kauhava in the province of Pohjanmaa/Ostrobothnia, brothers Martti and Paavo Hakala, serving in a Finnish platoon.

The two main characters, Jim and Amanda (Mark and Sarah) were high school sweethearts, but as time has passed they moved on with their lives and they have now become adults who have had their own different experiences along the way and now that they have reunited, we find they still have that chemistry between them. This was great casting, these two actors work really well together, normally I throw 9's and 10's all over the place These characters are so natural, so done with this earth in the sense that they live in our world, they are believable and now need an escape even if it is just for a single day. This movie focuses on just them, these two people for the entire film and I cannot thank Mark Duplass for this (he is the screenwriter) because I have not seen a film where the two main characters are the only characters, I didn't get sick of them, I did not find them boring, ever, they were very fleshed out and they felt like genuine, real people who were put in this situation and now find out that they work really well together.

Moo-hyuk is journalist... but actually is not doing very well in his job. Thats why he probably get fired soon and his wife is threatening him with divorce. But just in that situation he stumbles upon a memo of a serial killer. Moo-hyuk takes the chances and writes a passionate article about it which makes him a star in the media. Of course, the police immediately starts to investigate the case, but finds no body. Also Moo-hyuk has no idea until he finds out that this memo was just part of Chinese novel called "Liang Chen Murder Record". In other words: Moo-hyuk has done quite some shit! He could loose his job, his respect and even has to go to jail. So Moo-hyuk has only the choice of clearing his "mistake" or giving the police and the public what they want: many many corpses.
